Release the pedal completely. The engine control unit entered self-diagnosis mode No. 2 (reading of self-diagnosis codes began).

If, while reading self-diagnosis codes, you fully press and hold the accelerator pedal for more than 10 seconds, then all errors from the memory of the engine control unit will be deleted. By fully releasing the accelerator pedal, make sure that code 0000 is read (no errors).

Note: If you disconnect the battery at any time, the error codes will be cleared from memory within the next 24 hours.

Engines

The Russian-assembled Teana-2 model is equipped with three types of engines – 2.5 and 3.5 liter V6 petrol power units, as well as a 2.5 liter petrol “four”.

The MR20DE 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine is also available for the Chinese market, but cars with such an internal combustion engine were not supplied to Russia.

The most common Nissan Teana engine is a 6-cylinder V-shaped 2.5 power unit with a capacity of 182 hp. With. models VQ25DE. This internal combustion engine is only available on vehicles with front-wheel drive.

Transmission

In any configuration of a flagship car, only a continuously variable transmission CVT is installed, and this type of gearbox has a number of undeniable advantages:

  • the driver does not need to be distracted by changing gears; when accelerating with such a gearbox, the car picks up speed smoothly, without jumps or jerks;
  • the dynamics are very good, and here the variator has a clear advantage over other types of gearboxes;
  • The continuously variable transmission does not create unnecessary noise, while the engine operates in a fairly economical mode.

CVT also has a big disadvantage - the Nissan Teana variator is not highly reliable; even with the most careful operation, its service life does not exceed 170 thousand kilometers.

But the gearbox usually fails earlier, and when repairs may be needed depends on operating conditions.

Quite often, the Teana gearbox has to be repaired on the first lap; in some cases, breakdowns occur even after 30-50 thousand kilometers.
