3.2. To determine the appearance, the lubricant is applied to a plate with dimensions of 50x70x2 mm made of glass according to GOST 111 or other colorless transparent glass using a template made of non-corrosive metal, thickness (2±0.1) mm (drawing). Maximum deviations of template dimensions are ±1 mm. The template is tightly applied to the plate, first the inner edges of the template hole are wrapped using a spatula, and then all template holes are filled with a layer of lubricant above the thickness of the template. The lubricant is compacted with a spatula, excess lubricant is removed with a rib, the template is carefully removed from the plate and viewed in transmitted light with the naked eye. The presence of a fine-grained structure is not a rejection sign.
(Changed edition, Amendment No. 4).
3.3. (Deleted, Change. No. 4).

4. PACKAGING, LABELING, TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE

4.1. Packaging, labeling, transportation and storage are carried out in accordance with GOST 1510 with the following addition:
It is allowed to pack the lubricant into steel barrels with a removable bottom with a capacity of 50 and 200 dm 3.
The lubricant must be stored in the manufacturer's container.

5. MANUFACTURER WARRANTY

5.1. The manufacturer guarantees that the lubricant meets the requirements of this standard subject to the conditions of transportation and storage.
(Changed edition, Amendment No. 2).
5.2. The guaranteed shelf life of the lubricant is five years from the date of manufacture.
The service life of the lubricant in time is five years, in terms of mileage - 500 thousand km, allowed until 01/01/93 - 450 thousand km.
(Amended edition, Rev. No. 1,2. 4).

6. SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

6.1. The lubricant does not contain toxic substances that affect the health of operating personnel. When working with lubricants, it is necessary to use personal protective equipment in accordance with standard industry standards approved by the USSR State Committee for Labor and Social Issues and the Central Committee of the All-Union Central Council of Trade Unions.
(Changed edition, Amendment No. 2).
6.2. The grease is explosion-proof. Flash point above 200 °C. When a lubricant spills, the spill site is covered with sand and then removed.
