This is influenced by a huge number of factors, but the main one can be called the lack of evolution in the technical segment. However, Russian scientist Vladimir Semenovich Leonov is working on creating a quantum engine.

Biography

I would like to start with the story of a great man - Vladimir Semenovich Leonov, but, unfortunately, there is not so much information about him. We can definitely say that this outstanding personality is a theoretical physicist and direct experimenter. Leonov also became a laureate in the technology and science category. Takes a place in the first hundred leaders of industry and science of the Commonwealth. He was recognized as Director of the Year in the CIS in 2007. He is the chief designer and also the head of NPO Kvanton CJSC. Leonov is the author of the scientific discoveries of the quanton (space-time quantum). It was Leonov who created the theory of Superunification. This theory was recognized as the theory of the century, and its direction was a new breath in energy (both terrestrial and space).

Also in 2007, Leonov built his own laboratory, which was named “Leonov’s Laboratory”. After a short time, he began to experiment with gravity, the essence of which was control. More precisely, he worked on creating an engine that would create thrust without releasing the reactive mass. As a result, the scientist partially achieved this; now his creations are called “Leonov’s quantum engine,” many argue that this is the engine of the future.

This is how you can literally tell about this person in a few words. As you can see, Leonov’s personality is not public and is known only in small circles, but his discoveries received great publicity. It is precisely these that I would like to dwell on in more detail.

Superunification theory

First of all, it is necessary to start with what served as the prerequisite for the creation of the Leonov engine. And this is the theory itself, which is called Superunification. It is named so because it is designed to combine four interactions. But at the moment, science recognizes the existence of only three; the fourth element is missing - gravitational force. The theory itself originated from Albert Einstein’s supersymmetry. In order not to go into details on this topic, it is only worth saying that it is the theory of Superunification that is capable of bringing a science such as energy to a completely new level.

And yet it lies in the fact that it presupposes the ubiquitous presence of various elements, which, unfortunately, current science does not take into account at all. However, these elements were made public, and not by anyone, but by the creator of the Periodic Table of Elements himself - Mendeleev. Even more, the original form of the table included two zero elements. But alas, it was later reworked and the “unnecessary” particles were removed. An element called Newtonium is important for the Superunification theory; it was an element of the ether. Mendeleev himself had great hopes for Newtonium, and he named it in honor of the great physicist Newton.

When talking about the scientist’s achievements, they first mention his greatest unit, called the Leonov quantum engine. When creating it, the author turned to such an element as Newtonium. However, Leonov himself did not call it that, he called it canton, saying that only by interacting with this element it would be possible to create a power plant of a completely new generation.

Based on this, we can confidently say that the Superunification theory has a right to exist, which many scientists are trying to refute. However, Leonov found the courage to go back in time and remember the forgotten element, and not just remember, but use it as a starting point in his research.

About Leonov's invention

First of all, when talking about a unit called a quantum engine, we should forget about such a phenomenon as a photon engine. The author himself says this, since the second engine has a completely different design and is not similar to the quantum one. Now, to clarify the picture, it is worth highlighting their main differences. The bottom line is that the photon engine works due to the annihilation of antimatter and matter, that is, it creates jet thrust, which pushes the object. The quantum engine works completely differently. To move, it uses the energy and elasticity of space itself. Scientists immediately rejected this option, calling his work pseudoscience, and now they are only trying to modernize something that was created a long time ago and has simply exhausted its potential. And this, roughly speaking, does not need to be proven; it is just necessary to take the characteristics of Wernher von Braun’s first full-fledged rocket and the modern one. The fact is that a modern rocket engine is only twice as powerful as the first one. It follows from this that the absolute limit has been reached, and further work in this direction will be either unsuccessful or simply pointless.

For example, a nuclear rocket engine is very dangerous, and an electric motor is not capable of producing high thrust, that is, it is unsuitable for launching rockets into space. And if you look at Leonov’s engine, it seems incredibly promising. One cannot even imagine what changes will follow if it is successfully implemented. It is clear that technologies and, in particular, technology are being radically transformed. In order to understand at least a little of its potential, it is enough to say that theoretically, with its help, you can get to the Moon in four hours, and to Mars in just two days.

Experiments with the engine

During the lifetime of Vladimir Semenovich Leonov there was an incredible number of experiences and various experiments. However, when asked about this, he immediately begins to talk about the most outstanding thing that happened in 2009. The experimenter himself claims that then he was able to create a quantum one that imparted acceleration to an object without using reactive force in this matter. This became the starting point, because from that time on Leonov was able to vertically lift an object along guide rails without using the wheel drive. This phenomenon, according to the creator himself, confirms the theory mentioned above.

After the stunning success, the hour of calm came, and five years later, only in 2014, bench tests were carried out, where the engine of the future was presented . He demonstrated incredible results: despite his weight being fifty-four kilograms, the thrust impulse reached an unimaginable seven hundred kilogram-force, while the acceleration was 10 joules. It is also interesting that the engine itself requires only electricity and can operate without a body. Also based on this experience, it was found that electricity costs are only one kilowatt. These characteristics are stunning, because the most modern rocket jet engine that exists today generates only one tenth of a kilogram-force, wasting the same one kilowatt of electricity.

Now we can only imagine what will happen if a quantum engine is created. Then the rocket's payload will reach ninety percent. And this despite the fact that it now amounts to only a meager five percent.

Scientists' skepticism

Despite the experiments carried out, most scientists in this field are skeptical about Leonov’s engine, saying that his creation will not work in a vacuum.

Vladimir Semenovich himself responds in kind, speaking out against the Russian Academy of Sciences and the commission to combat pseudoscience, in particular. In 2012, he said that its activities could be simply called criminal, and the talk that his project was hopeless could be called disinformation. Leonov also has the opinion that the commission is a foreign special project that is designed to stop the technical progress of his country.

It is also impossible not to notice that developments in this direction are being carried out not only in Russia, but also abroad, in particular in the West. However, the USA, Russia and China make quantum rocket engines differently; it would be more accurate to say that their schemes are simply different, because no one wants to reveal their secrets. But the success of our colleagues abroad is insignificant, in contrast to the domestic breakthrough.

It is impossible not to note Leonov’s cheerful enthusiasm and patriotism; he simply does not look at the statements of the Russian Academy of Sciences and is confident that modernization and economic growth will come in just two or three years. This, by the way, is comparable to the promises of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

Leonov also criticizes the discovery of the Higgs Boson. Back in 2012, he opposed this idea, saying that the problem was solved back in 1996, when the zero element in the Periodic Table of Mendeleev was discovered - the same quanton.

Advantages of a quantum engine

The text above listed many advantages of a quantum engine compared to a reactive or photon engine. But it’s still worth collecting everything in one place and combining everything into a list for convenience. So, the Leonov engine has the following advantages:

  1. Ninety tons of payload. In other words, nine hundred percent, while aircraft jet engines only reach five percent.
  2. Maximum speed. A rocket with this engine is capable of reaching a speed of a thousand kilometers per second, while a rocket engine develops eighteen kilometers per second.
  3. Possibility of movement with acceleration. The device is characterized by a long thrust impulse.
  4. A flight to the Moon with this engine will last only three and a half hours, while to Mars it will take only two days.
  5. Versatility. The Leonov engine can be used not only in the space industry, it will cope perfectly in such conditions as under water, in the air and on the ground.
  6. This engine will be able to increase the maximum flight altitude of aircraft, so they can reach a mark of one hundred kilometers.
  7. Low fuel consumption. The engine requires very little energy, due to the fact that the devices will fly by inertia.
  8. The aircraft will be able to fly for a whole year without additional refueling.
  9. If a quantum engine is installed on the car, and, in turn, it is filled with cold nuclear fusion fuel, then the car will be able to travel ten million kilometers without stopping for gas stations.
  10. This motor is powered by electrical energy.

Of course, this is an incomplete list of the positive qualities of the engine, because all this exists only in theory. And only after implementation will it become one hundred percent clear what he is capable of.

Application

It is now worth mentioning where this engine can still be used. Of course, his main environment is space. This is what it will be created for, but there are still other areas of application. In addition to rockets, it will be possible to equip cars, sea transport, railway transport, airplanes and underwater vehicles with a quantum engine. It will also fit perfectly for power supply to ordinary residential premises. It is also suitable for sintering building materials with current.

Thus, this discovery will make it possible to provide huge segments, which will greatly facilitate and improve the lives of millions of people.

Energy sources

Of course, we must not forget about how to fuel a quantum engine, because no matter how ideal it is, it requires raw materials to operate. And this source must be incredibly powerful. To ensure this, a cold reactor is perfect, which, in turn, runs on nickel.

This reactor is much better than existing ones, because just one kilogram of nickel in cold fusion mode is capable of releasing as much energy as one million kilograms of gasoline.

Comparative characteristics

All of the above, of course, conveys all the technical aspects and advantages of the engine, but, as they say, everything is learned by comparison. What happens if we draw parallels between modern rocket engines and the quantum engine of Vladimir Semenovich Leonov?

So, modern space engines with one kilowatt of power are capable of achieving a thrust equal to one newton, which is equivalent to one tenth of a kilogram-force. A quantum engine is several times superior to a rocket engine. For the same one kilowatt, its thrust is five thousand newtons, which is equivalent to five hundred kilograms of force. As you can see, Leonov’s development is capable of greatly increasing efficiency, which, in turn, will give humanity a new technological era.

The spaceplane project originated in Soviet times; a fully functioning version of the Buran was made, which flew unmanned in 1988. However, in 1993, it was decided to freeze the project. The publication reported that this power plant may be in development for a Russian spaceplane. A special feature of the development is that there is no need for a huge amount of fuel. In addition, the quantum engine will be especially applicable in the creation of a new super-heavy space rocket, which Vladimir Putin ordered to be created by 2030. In an interview with Russian scientist, winner of the Russian Government Prize Vladimir Leonov, we reported on his creation of the fundamental theory of Superunification, which makes Russian fundamental science a world leader.

Vladimir Semenovich, on your blog there are videos of tests in 2009 of a device with a quantum engine inside. There is no wheel drive, however, the device moves horizontally due to internal forces. Your opponents claim that the whole point is in the friction of the wheel bearings, and it will not work in zero gravity.

To remove the existing skepticism, over the years I have improved the quantum engine and made a vertical take-off device to remove the “bearing factor”. In June 2014, its bench tests were successfully carried out. With a device mass of 54 kg, the vertical thrust impulse was 500...700 kgf (kg force) with an electrical power consumption of 1 kW. The device takes off vertically along the guides with an acceleration of 10...12g. These tests convincingly proved that gravity has been conquered experimentally, confirming the theory of Superunification.

Can you give comparative characteristics of a quantum engine and a modern rocket engine?

Based on bench tests, such characteristics were obtained. For comparison: a modern rocket engine (hereinafter referred to as RD) with 1 kW of power creates a thrust of 1 Newton (0.1 kgf). A prototype of a quantum engine (QE) from 2014 at 1 kW of power creates a thrust of 5000 Newtons (500 kgf) per impulse.
Of course, in continuous mode the specific traction characteristics of the motor vehicle decrease. However, in pulsed mode, CD is already 5000 times more effective than RD. This is explained by the fact that CD, unlike RD, does not heat the atmosphere and space with fuel combustion products. The CD is powered by electrical energy.

But this is a revolution in engine building. How will it affect the space industry?

Today, spacecraft jet engines have reached their technical limit. Over 50 years, the time impulse of their work has been increased from 220 seconds (V-2) by only 2 times to 450 seconds (Proton). The pulse of quantum engines is not hundreds of seconds, but years. A rocket with a 100-ton rocket launcher carries, at best, 5 tons (5%) of payload.
A device with a quantum engine of 100 tons will have a quantum engine with a reactor of 10 tons, that is, the payload is 90 tons, this is already 900% versus 5% for the RD.

What will be the speed characteristics of the new generation of interplanetary spacecraft?

The maximum speed of a spacecraft with a quantum engine can reach 1000 km/s versus 18 km/s for a rocket. But most importantly, having a long thrust impulse, a device with a pressurized vehicle can move with acceleration. Thus, a flight to Mars on a new generation spacecraft with a quantum engine in ±1g acceleration mode will take only 42 hours, with full compensation for weightlessness, and to the Moon - 3.6 hours. A new era in space technology is dawning.

What energy source do you plan to use to power the quantum engine?

The most promising source of energy is a cold nuclear fusion reactor (CNF), for example, according to the scheme of the Italian engineer Andrea Rossi, working on nickel. The energy efficiency of fuel, the same nickel in the nuclear cycle, is a million times higher than that of chemical fuel, that is, 1 kg of nickel in the CNF mode releases energy like 1 million kg of gasoline.
But Russia also has its own developments. Cold fusion is a separate big topic, and returning to the quantum engine, I would like to know about its application in aviation.

Creating a universal engine that could simultaneously operate in space, in the atmosphere, on earth and under water is a primary task of fundamental science.
This requirement is satisfied by only one engine - quantum. For example, in a passenger aircraft, the fuel consumption of a turbojet engine is used to overcome air resistance at altitudes of 10...12 km; it does not fly higher. Installing a pressure booster on an aircraft will allow it to fly at altitudes of 50...100 km, where drag is reduced by orders of magnitude, and, accordingly, the consumption of traditional fuel is reduced; the aircraft essentially flies by inertia.
When switching to CNF fuel, the aircraft will be able to fly for years without refueling. By increasing speed, for example, on the Moscow-New York route, flight time can be reduced from 10 hours to 1 hour.

Well, it's absolutely fantastic. What will happen to the car?

Yes, there is no science fiction, there is a fundamental theory of Superunification, which determines the physical foundations of new CNF reactors and a quantum engine operating on new physical principles.
The current level of development of science and technology a hundred years ago would have been perceived as science fiction, when aviation and cars were just in their infancy. What will happen in a hundred years?
Already, installing a quantum engine on a car radically changes its design. We have a car body on wheels and a power plant with a CD. No transmission needed. The traction is provided by the CD, the cross-country ability is colossal, and the wheels do not slip. Filling 1 kg of nickel into a chemical nuclear reactor will allow a passenger car to run 10 million kilometers without refueling, which is 25 distances to the Moon.
The car will be almost “eternal” - 50...100 years of service life. There will be flying cars with an anti-gravity cushion, capable of overcoming water obstacles through the air.

You have painted us an idealistic picture of the near future. But who will allow this to be done? Transnational corporations whose business is based on gasoline and oil will not allow this. And 50% of Russia’s budget before Western sanctions was filled from oil and gas exports.

This is fundamentally not true. Everything that drives and flies now is from the last century. Believe me, time will pass, and transnational corporations will race to master the production of new cars, aircraft and reactors. These are the rules of successful business, and they are very strict. Whoever is late for the distribution will go broke.
And Russia has no other development path other than the path of scientific and technological progress. Russia's resource-based economy turned out to be vulnerable to Western sanctions policies, and this was no secret. Now we must thank the West for the sanctions for awakening Russia. We literally need 2-3 years to modernize and ensure economic growth at an accelerated pace. Deng Xiaoping was 74 years old when he began modernizing China and their economy was in the worst shape, Putin was 62.

As far as we know, you have been working on the Superunification theory, quantum engine and CNF reactor for 20 years. But it turned out that the Italian Andrea Rossi was the first to launch a cold fusion reactor. The USA and China are also working on creating a quantum engine. Are we late, and who in Russia is hindering the development of new energy and space technologies?

Paradoxical as it may seem, the main opponent of cold fusion and research in the field of antigravity was and remains the leadership of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), or rather the RAS commission on pseudoscience, which declared cold fusion and antigravity to be complete pseudoscience.
It is not difficult to prove that the RAS commission on pseudoscience was a special project from the outside, when, against the backdrop of the fight against sorcerers and false healers, all groups of enthusiastic scientists in the field of chemical nuclear science were defeated at the RAS. Fortunately for us, specialists in the field of chemical nuclear science did not give up and continued to work “underground”, organizing annual conferences on cold nuclear transmutation on the initiative of one of the pioneers of chemical nuclear science, Yuri Bazhutov. Now they are preparing for the 22nd conference. As for the Rossi reactor, it has no special secrets, and its reactor would have already been repeated by the Russian scientist Alexander Parkhomov.
But the RAS commission on pseudoscience also reached out to the military, to Roscosmos. Work in the field of creating artificial gravity devices at the Research Institute of Space Systems (NIICS) was stopped, and one of the pioneers of a new direction in space propulsion engineering, General Valery Menshikov, was dismissed.
There was a campaign in the media to discredit these works (read “The resumption of the “Gravitsap” tests is a cannon salvo at the Academy of Sciences”). As a result, time was lost, and Roscosmos was unable to participate in the modernization of the quantum engine.
I will add that there is no violation of Newton’s third law in the work of CD. CD creates thrust when interacting with quantized space-time. China and the US are also working on creating a quantum engine. But their achievements in terms of thrust force are less than 1 gram versus 500 kg for the Russian KD (read “The new American engine has disproved the laws of physics”).
