The leader of the Russian market over the past few years has been the Ford Focus. It is not surprising that this model is also popular on the secondary market. Like all “Europeans” (and our Ford Focus has practically nothing to do with the American one), there were many modifications: a sedan, a station wagon, 3- and 5-door hatchbacks and even a convertible coupe with a folding hardtop. A 1.4-liter gasoline engine (80 hp) was considered the base one, but in practice it is rarely found.

Engines and models

Engines 1.6 l (100 and 115 hp), 1.8 l (125 hp) and 2.0 l (145 hp) are very popular in our country.

All of them are reliable and generally unpretentious. The 1.6-liter 100-horsepower engine, which readily consumes 92-octane gasoline, stands out for its enviable survivability and durability. True, its traction is not always enough, especially if the car is loaded to capacity.

There are also quite a few cars with diesel engines of 1.6 liters (90 and 109 hp) and 2.0 liters (136 hp). In 2007, the line was replenished with a 2.0 liter diesel engine (110 hp).

As standard, the Ford Focus was equipped with a five-speed manual transmission, while the turbodiesel 136-horsepower modification (2.0 l) and the sports version ST (2.5 l, 225 hp) were equipped with a 6-speed gearbox. Four-speed automatic transmissions are an option only for petrol versions: 100-horsepower (1.6 l) and two-liter.

Focus in the basic Russian configuration is not very rich: a driver's airbag, power steering and electric front windows. However, there are few “empty” cars on the secondary market - usually compatriots paid extra for ABS, full power accessories, air conditioning, a passenger airbag, and a radio.

By the standards of its class, the Focus is very spacious inside. The finishing materials deserve special praise, and the parts are perfectly matched to each other. But the equipment is not everything. The main trump card of the model is excellent driving performance and almost standard handling.

Gasoline engines are generally unpretentious. The list of unreliable parts includes a hydraulic clutch for variable valve timing. If the car reacts sluggishly to pressing the gas pedal, and sharply loses power, prepare for about 7500-9800 rubles. to replace it.

Power steering pipes often leak, so the fluid level in the reservoir should be checked at least once a week. The crankshaft position sensors (from 800 rubles) and idle speed sensors (from 1200 rubles) are also short-lived.

From time to time, the crankshaft position sensors (from 760 rubles) and idle speed sensors (from 1200 rubles) may fail. Oil leaks under the car usually mean that the camshaft seals are leaking. The parts themselves cost pennies, but replacing them will cost 5,000-7,000 rubles.

In electrical equipment, the contacts of lighting devices are often broken. And in sedans, the wiring harness that supplies power to the lights on the trunk lid often breaks.

Excellent handling of the Ford Focus is a merit of the fully independent suspension. Moreover, the suspension, which is complex in design, is quite tenacious. There are not many weak points in it. If you begin to hear (on average after 50,000 km) a strong hum, increasing in proportion to the increase in speed, then it’s time to shell out 5,000-6,500 rubles. for replacing front wheel bearings.

Unlike the first Focus, the second was no longer a truly global car: in the USA, the Ford Focus 2 is a completely different model with its own design. Ford will return to unification only in 2011, when the third Focus debuts.

Ford Focus 2 turned out to be noticeably larger than its predecessor and more conservative in appearance. Russian sales of the model began in 2005, and the restyled version reached our showrooms in 2008. The appearance of the updated car has become much more interesting due to the expressive trapezoidal radiator grille and new optics of a complex shape. Even more soft plastic appeared in the cabin and fashionable red lighting began to play.

The most common body type on our market is the sedan. The five-door hatchback is a little behind. There are noticeably fewer station wagons, and three-door hatches are rare.

Russians, as you know, are fans of driving fast, and the Ford Focus can only show at least some dynamics with a manual transmission. The most common versions are relatively inexpensive, but high-spirited versions with 1.6 (115 hp) and 1.8 (125 hp) engines and manual transmission. Much less common are cars with an automatic transmission and a 2.0-liter engine (145 hp) and a completely “boring” 1.6-liter engine, which is also derated in this version from 115 to 100 hp.

Well, and absolutely exotic - the most dynamic “Focuses” with a 2.0-liter engine (about the same 145 hp) and manual transmission, the most modest 1.4-liter (85 hp) models with a manual transmission and diesel versions with a 1.8 engine liter (115 hp), again with mechanics.

Focus II is a car manufactured by Ford. These cars are no longer produced and can only be purchased used. The first thing you should look at when buying is the body. You should immediately understand that the car is quite old, and that the factory paint has faded somewhere, and the body and doors may be rusty, the interior trim will be worn out, and the sills and bumpers will have operational damage. Ford Focus 2 does not like Russian winters, which is why the Focus has frequent breakdowns:

1) Problem with locks. Overall, the Ford's interior is not bad. The quality of the fabric upholstery is excellent, it withstands the dry cleaning process remarkably well and is wear-resistant, but after a few years of use the interior begins to noticeably creak.

The most expensive electronic item that often fails is heated seats, for which you will have to pay a considerable amount of money. Problems often occur with the stove, the motor of which may fail. Also, at approximately 50 thousand km, the resistor breaks, accompanied by a not strong, but unpleasant whistle. The heat sensor in the cabin also suffers, but only in versions with cruise control. Also, due to Russian winters, the heating threads of the side mirrors suffer. In restyled cars it is quite difficult to change the bulbs in the headlights, since to do this you have to take out the entire headlight.

Focus has four engine options: 1.4; 1.6; 1.8; 2.0 liters. Let's look at each one separately:

1) 1.4 liter engines, by themselves, are durable and reliable (if you regularly change the oil and filter in them), but it is better to install a manual in the configuration, because it definitely won’t go with an automatic transmission. But one problem arises from this - due to the fact that the engine always spins at high speeds (it will not run at low speeds, because it has little power), the engine's life is quickly depleted. Therefore, when purchasing a car from third or more hands, you should think carefully, because there is a risk of getting the engine overhauled;

2) 1.6 liters (100 hp) - this engine, like the 1.4, is considered durable and reliable (also don’t forget to change consumables). Its main advantage is its simplicity of design, so you can repair the engine yourself. But today the engine power is very low. And if you take it together with an automatic, then you definitely won’t have enough dynamics.

1.6 liter (115 hp) - this engine model will be better than its predecessor 100 hp engine, and you can already drive with an automatic transmission with almost the same gas consumption. It is distinguished only by the added variable valve timing system, both on the intake and exhaust shafts. This motor has a problem with the phase shifter clutch, which quickly "runs out", but on later and improved models this problem occurs less frequently.

3) The 1.8 and 2.0 liter engines are almost identical in design and their problems are also similar. The service life of such motors is 350 thousand km. What needs to be changed? The most important thing is the timing chain (200 thousand km), and the gasket between the head and the block (100 thousand km), otherwise oil loss from the engine begins. You also need to frequently monitor the tightening of the bolts, otherwise they will unscrew due to vibrations.

This car has three transmission options, and each has its own pros and cons, let's look at each:

1) The IB5 manual transmission is not very good, it has a lot of problems and they are not very pleasant. The most common is second gear overshoot. All this happens due to weak synchronizers. But due to the fact that the gearbox will often work at full capacity, the pinion axis in the differential may burst, and all these actions will subsequently lead to a hole in the crankcase, the repair of which will be expensive. There are also problems with the input shaft bearing; if you hear a hum from the gearbox, then run to the service center, because... This will not lead to good consequences, but only to difficult and expensive repairs.

2) The MTX75 manual transmission gives more love and hope because it is more durable. Its disadvantages are the oil seals and shift rod seals, but this is all easy to do. It is also better to monitor the oil; it should not be at a minimum, otherwise the shafts and gear rims quickly wear out and become unusable. You also need to monitor the release bearing, which is very weak and wears out after 50 thousand km.

3) The 4F27E automatic transmission is very reliable, because it has been installed on cars since 1980, and all the bugs in it have long been corrected, which is why this automatic transmission is as reliable as a tank. Only one thing spoils the picture - after 55 thousand km. It is advisable to change the valve body and also need to replace the pressure regulator solenoids.

As I said before, the Focus has an excellent suspension, which was inherited from the first generation. The suspension is reliable and rarely breaks, all this is due to the excellent tuning of the independent chassis, but still some elements fail and need to be replaced. The most basic, short-lived elements:

  1. Support bearings of struts. To 40-70 thousand km. They become unusable and require replacement. The wheel bearing, which only comes complete with the hub, also requires attention.
  2. After 40 thousand, a quiet knock may appear, which means that the stabilizer struts have become unusable.
  3. At 80-110 thousand kilometers you will need to change the bushings and with them: ball joints, levers and silent blocks. After all this, you will need to pay attention to the shock absorbers.

After replacing these parts, your suspension will be as beautiful as the car that came off the production line.

Our “office plankton machine” is not even bad. For a simple guy, it is quite suitable, although it has some disadvantages, but if you follow these disadvantages, then everything will be fine. Of course, you won’t be able to buy a new car, but when buying second-hand, you need to check all the listed weak points.

Body

As a rule, the inspection of the specimen you like begins with the body. We still greet people based on their clothes. And if Focus doesn't inspire you with its appearance, don't rush to give up. Faded paint, sandblasted sills at the bottom and darkened decorative details on cars with high mileage are, rather, signs of natural aging rather than barbaric use. Particular attention is paid to the chrome trim on the trunk lid: corrosion at the point of contact with the body appears after two or three Russian winters. It costs about 5,000 rubles. At the same time, check the license plate illumination - its wiring succumbs to corrosion quite quickly. Moreover, hatchbacks and sedans suffer from this to a greater extent. Repair - 1500 rub.

The 1.6-liter engine (100 hp), which was installed on the first Focus, rightfully bears the title of the most widespread and reliable. It accounts for more than a third of all “Focuses” presented on the market today. The South African-assembled motor is intended for use in third world countries. Its simple design determines excellent maintainability and low cost of operation. But many consider this unit to be rather weak for a modern car. Especially paired with an automatic transmission.

Another thing is its 115-horsepower brother, equipped with a variable valve timing system on the intake and exhaust shafts. The engine's thrust is already quite sufficient in all modes, and it gets along much better with an automatic transmission, and in terms of efficiency it is not inferior to the 100-horsepower version. Only this modern motor quickly “runs out” of the phase reflex coupling (RUB 11,500). True, on modernized machines the unit has become more durable.

Modifications with “fours” with a volume of 1.8 and 2.0 liters are second only to versions with a 1.6 liter engine (100 hp). Both engines are identical in design and suffer from common ailments. The service life of the engines is 350 thousand km. And the timing drive has a long-lasting chain, which is usually replaced after 200 thousand km. But in order for the engines to live safely into old age, after the first “hundred” you should pay attention to the valve cover gasket (RUB 1,000), which begins to poison the oil. However, at first you can limit yourself to tightening the bolts that are weakening due to vibrations. And then only replacement. By this time, as a rule, the upper hydraulic engine mount wears out (RUB 3,500).

The unreasonable melancholy of the 1.8-liter engine (it appears less frequently on the 2.0-liter) - poor traction and cold starts, rough idle speeds and increased fuel consumption - was associated with unfinished software of the electronic engine control unit. Therefore, dealers changed its firmware depending on the malfunction, although they were extremely reluctant to take these measures. Ignition coils, high-voltage wires, and fuel pumps are also short-lived. The throttle body and the exhaust gas recirculation valve become dirty quite quickly. Neutralizers (34,000 rubles) do not differ in mileage either, the life expectancy of which depends on engine oil consumption. If the engine's appetite increases to 200 grams per 1000 km, you need to sound the alarm and contact service. Otherwise, expensive repairs are guaranteed.

It is advisable to change the oil in a 1.8 liter turbodiesel every 5–10 thousand km, and refuel only at proven network gas stations. And then the high-pressure fuel pump (HFP) will cross the 200 thousand km mark. Repair - from RUB 30,000. You will have to spend money on new injection nozzles (RUB 12,500 each) and flush the exhaust gas recirculation valve. After 100 thousand km, the dual-mass flywheel wears out. A similar problem, by the way, occurs on the 2.0-liter gasoline engine. If you feel jerking when starting off and a characteristic rattling sound, change it immediately. The part is expensive - from 25,000 rubles, but the consequences of the destruction caused by the flywheel will be even more noticeable.

Transmission

On a manual IB5 gearbox, after 50–80 thousand km, “departures” of the second gear are known due to weak synchronizers. And when working with an increased load, the pinion axis in the differential may burst, which threatens a hole in the crankcase and repairs costing 100,000 rubles. If during a test drive the box “howls like a beast,” it means the input shaft bearing is worn out. And it urgently needs to be changed. Otherwise, the consequences can be depressing.

But the “mechanics” of the MTX75 are more durable. True, over time, oil seals and gear shift rod seals leak, and due to the low level of transmission oil, the shafts and gear rims quickly wear out. The clutch can last 100 thousand km or more, if not for a weak release bearing, made in a single block with the clutch slave cylinder, which wears out after 50 thousand km.

But the “automatic” is as simple as five kopecks and reliable as a tank. The 4F27E gearbox was installed on various Ford models back in the late 1980s, so today it is almost completely free from childhood diseases. After 150 thousand km, you will only need to repair the valve body (RUB 22,000) and replace the pressure regulator solenoids.

Suspension

With the driving properties of the Focus II, everything is in perfect order thanks to the exquisitely tuned independent suspension. Its main elements are long-lived. The idyll is broken by the support bearings of the struts, “nursing” on average 40–70 thousand km. Approximately the same amount was allocated to the wheel bearings, which are replaced as an assembly with the hubs. When replacing, do not forget about the ABS sensors - they are often damaged during dismantling. Light knocks in the suspension after 40,000 km will make themselves felt by the stabilizer struts. But the bushings last almost twice as long. At the same time, at 80–110 thousand km, the turn will come to update the ball joints assembled with a lever and silent blocks. And then shock absorbers are on the way (4,200 rubles each).

In the rear suspension, the stabilizer struts are updated every 60–80 thousand km. The bushings last on average one and a half times longer. By “hundred” the lower arms wear out. Shock absorbers (3,800 rubles each) have a slightly longer lifespan - they often reach 110–140 thousand km.

In the steering system, the rod ends are enough for 50–80 thousand km. And the rack itself on the first cars was even changed under warranty, but by 2008 it became more durable. Moreover, versions with 1.4 and 1.6 liter engines were equipped with a traditional hydraulic booster, and more powerful modifications came with an electro-hydraulic power steering, which can “burn out” the pump control board. Usually you have to change the entire assembly for 28,000 rubles.

Bottom line

Finding a technically serviceable Ford Focus II will not be difficult. If you are not satisfied with modifications with reliable 1.4 and 1.6 liter engines (100 hp), you can find a Focus from Europe with an equally reliable 2.0 liter turbodiesel. True, we have few such versions. And it’s better to opt for post-restyling cars - they have already suffered from childhood diseases.

The design is pleasant, although the rear of the “third” Focus hatchback reminds me of the KIA-Sid. Finally they thought of covering the sills with plastic and removed the hood lock from under the emblem! And they realized that symmetry is not only beautiful, but also correct: two reversing lights and a pair of fog lights are better than one copy of both. The mirrors in the visors are more solid, they have built-in lighting - a small thing, but nice. You can also lock all doors with a button on the console.

But inside there is no longer the same freedom as before. Safety, for the sake of which everything was probably started, is an important matter, but you still want to move! There is less space in the back; I also like the driver's seat better in its predecessor. The mirrors are no better than before - with a dead zone where a motorcyclist riding between the rows can easily disappear. The steering wheel is overloaded with buttons; some of the functions should have been transferred to the steering column switches. The headlight switch is located inconveniently: it is tilted towards the floor - you can’t see it while driving. You can’t just get into the glove compartment: the front passenger’s knees prevent the lid from opening. The glossy panel of the radio instantly becomes captivated.

I don’t like the complication of the design, which inevitably leads to higher prices. Two large wipers with separate motors, also stepper ones, are, of course, cool, but I don’t think that visibility in the rain has improved dramatically. I continue: the headrests are no longer removable, but a bunch of extra light bulbs and lights have appeared. Why all this abundance of light?

But the 1.6-liter engine does not detonate when starting, like my 1.8. But at the same time, 125 “new” forces are somehow liquid and do not pull evenly throughout the entire range. But I really liked the box, the switching on is soft and clear.

In general, the impression is ambivalent. If earlier the choice of “Focus” was obvious to me, now I’ll look around, fortunately the competitors are not asleep.

My assessment is from a passenger's point of view. We bought the car when our daughter was already born. At the nursery, I placed her with a friend of mine, at least half an hour away by car. My husband and I know that the safest place for a child is the seat behind the driver. But if the baby does not look forward, he will begin to rock.

Therefore, for many years, the seat on the back left became mine. We sit our daughter next to her, on the right, lower the back of the front seat and remove the headrest. In the new Focus this number will not work - the headrests are made non-removable.

I have traveled a lot in the backseat of the “second” car: a trip to Switzerland, two trips to the Baltics, and I can’t count the trips to the Moscow region. My husband's height is two meters without a couple of centimeters. When he adjusts the seat for himself, the passenger has about fifteen centimeters of legroom left. Several times I had to travel for ten hours or longer, but I sat behind him quite comfortably, despite the fact that there was always something stuck in the pocket of the chair: maps, magazines, guidebooks. When I climbed into the new Focus, and my husband habitually adjusted the chair to fit himself, the lower part of the back immediately crashed into my legs. There is space in front of the knees, but the chair is curved in some kind of arc, so the knees are comfortable, but the position of the feet cannot be changed. Without this, you can’t sit for 40 minutes, let alone several hours!

Of course, I liked a lot. For example, shorter rear doors. On our model they are noticeably wider, and usually, trying not to hit the car standing next to me, I do not open the door completely. I also like the appearance of the new hatchback, especially the rear three-quarter view! But still, as a family car, the “third” Focus is perhaps a bit cramped.

When the sun is low on the horizon, a fairly noticeable rainbow plays on the windshield. Not to say that it is too disturbing - perhaps it is even funny to watch the play of light against the background of the road. The air vent grille and the instrument panel visor are reflected in the same glass. But in the glove compartment I found a USB connector, which was missing before.

Where my Focus has turn signals in the headlights, the new one has side light sections. Very comfortably! They shine brightly and where they need to be. They are activated even when the steering wheel is turned slightly, approximately 15°. When you drive forward, the side you are turning to lights up; back - the opposite way, so as not to blow someone away with your wing.

I have not yet come across a more practical parking sensor than on the new Focus. An informative screen, an unobtrusive squeak, four zones in front and behind, extending to the sides.

The electronic gas pedal is very correct. It seems that its task is not to control the supply of gasoline, but to communicate to the “brains” the driver’s intention to accelerate. And they will decide how to do this with minimal damage to the environment. Up to 2000 rpm the car frankly stalls, then, up to the limiter, it goes normally, but still there is no expected acceleration. You need to constantly turn the engine and click through the gears. I can’t say that it annoyed me very much - it’s a matter of habit.

The gearshift timing indicator will probably be useful for someone. To me, this is a toy. After 2000 rpm, if the gas is not in the floor, the arrow lights up: go to higher. But she doesn’t know what my plan is! For example, I’m driving in fourth, I bump into a truck, and when I let off the gas, I’m waiting for the moment to overtake and possibly switch to third. And electronics are hammering your brain: give it a fifth, otherwise you’ll burn an extra gram of gasoline!

By the way, about consumption. I took a car with an average consumption on the trip computer of 11.2 l/100 km. After 400 km of suburban highways, it slipped to 10.1 liters. If you consciously save, you can keep it to 8–8.5 liters (and with the air conditioning on).

The car handles roughly like its predecessor, the Focus, but goes a little smoother. When driving sharply off a wide speed bump, the front end makes a noticeable knock.

In the rain, the rear window gets noticeably less splashed.

The trunk shelf has become stiffer, although not by much. In my Ford it bends even under its own weight. If you are going to install a roof rack, then keep in mind: now it is only suitable with supports on the roof - they would not wipe the paint. The previous model is more practical: it has nuts for the struts covered with plugs.

Summary? I definitely liked the car! For complete happiness, I would like a more powerful engine, 140-150 normal “horses”, and not these strangled ones. And the size of wheels from 16 inches raises questions (of course, if you don’t plan to participate in races).

A comparative test of the Focus will come later, but for now we are giving ourselves over only to emotions and first impressions. The engine was a revelation for me. If I had not seen with my own eyes the registration certificate with the power recorded on it, I would never have believed in 125 hp.

The new Focus with a 1.6-liter engine is comfortable to take off - the car is ready to start from idle. But if you then push the pedal to the floor, it won’t move! The engine begins to actively respond only from 3500 rpm; for more or less active driving it will have to be cranked. The reason is probably in the “brains” designed to fit the engine within the Euro-5 framework and reduce fuel consumption.

I was surprised by the ambiguity of the interior. Cozy, beautiful, solid, but, alas, cramped. I feel like I’m in a car of a lower class: from the driver’s seat I’m pushing my neighbor with my elbow, sitting “behind me” is not easy. Fortunately, the suspension is pleasing: with even better ride quality and energy efficiency. A real breakthrough is a noticeable reduction in noise and vibration.

Let's see what other impressions our future Focus will leave from the first production batch of the Vsevolozhsk assembly (now we were filming a sample that arrived from Germany).

WHAT HOW MUCH

The first “tricks” of the new generation will roll off the assembly line in Vsevolozhsk in August. These will be five-door hatchbacks. The release of sedans is scheduled for September, station wagons will appear only at the beginning of next year. But three-door hatchbacks disappeared from the lineup forever.

In similar configurations compared to its predecessors, the new product is more expensive by an average of 30,000–80,000 rubles. The final difference depends on the engine. Sometimes the rise in price is a consequence of better energy availability. For example, the basic Focus III is 33,000 rubles more expensive than the second one, but under its hood, instead of a weak 1.4-liter 80-horsepower engine, it has a 105-horsepower 1.6-liter engine.

So, to replace the old gasoline engines of 1.4 (80 hp), 1.6 (100 and 115 hp), 1.8 (125 hp) and 2.0 l (145 l .hp) came units of the Duratec Ti-VCT family with a volume of 1.6 liters - 105 and 125 hp, as well as a 2-liter 150 hp Duratec GDI. They are equipped with a variable valve timing system, the most powerful with direct fuel injection. The 1.8 liter (115 hp) diesel engine gave way to its 2-liter (140 hp) counterpart. The base transmission is a 5-speed manual. All but the weakest engines can now be mated to the PowerShift robotic transmission.

Four configurations are offered. The initial “Ambient” (from 499,000 rubles) with front airbags, ABS, electric mirrors and front windows, central locking, 15-inch wheels, etc. is in many ways similar to the previous basic “Limited Edition” (from 466,000 rubles ). You have to pay extra for air conditioning and music, but previously it was cheaper - 25,900 rubles versus 39,200.

In the next version, “Trend” (from 581,500 rubles), these options are already standard, heated mirrors and 16-inch steel wheels are added. By the way, in the similar previous version “Comfort” (from 522,000 rubles), you had to pay separately for “music” - at least 11,900 rubles. The “Trend Sport” package (from 640,000 rubles) is equipped with side airbags, rear electric windows, fog lights, alloy wheels, sports front seats, Premium console trim, etc.

But the Focus II, in a similar priced Titanium version (from 612,000 rubles), also had light and rain sensors. Now they are gone, as well as auto-dimming rear-view mirrors, but there is an ESP stabilization system with an EBA emergency braking assistance function. Titanium is now the most expensive Focus (from 685,500 rubles). Here you will get rain and light sensors, plus dual-zone climate control, a hill start assist system, and a push-button engine start. New options include parking assistant, blind spot monitoring, and more.

The color palette of the new Focus consists of ten shades (previously limited to six). For metallic - an additional payment of 10,000 rubles.

The side mirrors are equipped with a turn signal and electrical adjustments. There was also the option of heating the mirror element. The threshold is securely covered with black plastic protection.

The rear of the hatchback and station wagon is equipped with a powerful roof antenna and a glass cleaning brush. There is also a fashionable spoiler that continues the roof line. The bumper is made in a classic style and is additionally equipped with reflectors.

Which is better: Ford Focus or Kia Rio - it’s difficult to compare in terms of appearance. Both cars have a stylish design and modern solutions.

Kia interior

The Korean car boasts a bright instrument panel and stylish lighting for all keys in the cabin. The steering wheel is covered with genuine leather, and the multimedia system control keys are built into the rays.

Fuel consumption is stated at 6.2 liters in mixed mode, and the maximum speed is 190 km/h.

The question of which is better: Ford Focus or Kia Rio in terms of power plants is difficult to answer. The cars have good consumption figures and a sufficient amount of horsepower under the hood.

Difference between options and prices

The cars are equipped with all modern equipment and useful options. But the Focus is ahead of its rival in the number of SRS airbags (6 versus 8) and in the total number of available options.

The advantages of the Focus include an advanced chassis, better quality finishing materials and sufficient sound insulation. Trunk volume is a weak point of the American sedan, as is the higher cost.

“Korean” turned out to be balanced and unpretentious. The final cost of the car is significantly lower than the “American” one, but it also has fewer options. The only disadvantages include lower quality interior materials and insufficient space for rear passengers.
