Real gasoline consumption of Qashqai 2.0. Technical characteristics of Nissan Qashqai. Technical characteristics of Nissan Qashqai engines

Experts in the automotive industry believe that the NISSAN QASHQAI is an example of what the most reliable should be. For the first time, Nissan Qashqai in its new image was presented in Geneva in 2004. Many are attracted by the power of an SUV, its energetic shape and maneuverability, which is inherent only in passenger cars. Thanks to these data and an affordable price, it became the number 1 car in this class.

Manufacturers produce Nissan Qashqai+2 1.6 and Nissan Qashqai+2 2.0 for the mass consumer. Both variants are powered by a 1.6-liter petrol engine producing 115 hp. and 2.0 l. 140 hp respectively. When choosing a car, one of the most important parameters is the amount of gasoline that is required per 100 km in urban or suburban conditions. In accordance with the technical characteristics, the fuel consumption of the Nissan Qashqai depends on the modification of the car. On average it looks like this:

Gasoline consumption in mixed mode Nissan Qashqai+2

  • 2.0 4WD CVT 8.2 liters per hundred km
  • 2.0 4WD 8.4 liters per hundred km
  • 2.0 2WD 8.0 liters per hundred km
  • 1.6 6.8 liters per hundred km

Gasoline consumption in city mode Nissan Qashqai+2

  • 2.0 4WD CVT 10.8 liters per hundred km
  • 2.0 4WD 11.2 liters per hundred km
  • 2.0 2WD 10.8 liters per hundred km
  • 1.6 8.7 liters per hundred km

Fuel consumption in extra-urban mode Nissan Qashqai+2

  • 2.0 4WD CVT 6.8 liters per hundred km
  • 2.0 4WD 6.9 liters per hundred km
  • 2.0 2WD 6.5 liters per hundred km
  • 1.6 5.8 liters per hundred km

Employees of the popular German magazine Autobild decided to check how much the official figures coincide with the real ones. To do this, they tested 100 cars and were very surprised by the results obtained. Some vehicles required almost 50% more fuel than advertised.

Among the vehicles tested was a Nissan Qashqai 2.0 dCi with a diesel engine. It showed good results: fuel consumption exceeded the official figures by only 10% (0.7 liters). Moreover, all tests were carried out not in laboratory conditions, but in conditions closest to real ones. Within the city, drivers were not allowed a speed of 50 km/h, and outside the city they accelerated to 100 km/h or more.

Reviews of fuel consumption Nissan Qashqai

Since Nissan Qashqai cars have already traveled quite a bit on Russian roads, we suggest that you read the reviews of our compatriots. Almost all Nissan Qashqai+2 owners agree that in the city the car consumes from 9 to 12 liters (depending on the number of traffic jams and the time spent in them). On the highway, a car needs from 7 to 9 liters per 100 km. In winter, consumption increases by 1-2 liters. Despite the fact that the consumption is the same for almost all motorists, for some these are excellent indicators, for others - not so much.

What to do if fuel consumption increases?

Experienced motorists are advised to do the following:

  1. change spark plugs;
  2. wash the injectors;
  3. change the engine oil;
  4. replace the lambda probe in the engine exhaust manifold;
  5. bring the tire pressure to the required level;
  6. check wheel alignment;
  7. check the condition of the brake system;
  8. change your driving style from sporty to smoother.

This will help reduce fuel consumption.

Nissan Qashqai is a Japanese mid-class crossover that entered production in 2006. Today, the second generation of Qshqai is being produced. Production of the model began in 2013. As for the first generation crossover, it became the first such model in Nissan history. Before him, the company produced exclusively SUVs, including the rather large X-Trail. The presentation of the first Qashqai took place in 20016 at the Paris Motor Show. The model is considered one of the most popular in the class, as it is one of the founders of the SUV segment.

Nissan Qashqai owner reviews

Generation 1

With engine 1.5 diesel 2WD

  • Konstantin, Sverdlovsk. I'm happy with the car, a universal car for every day. Meets all my needs, wherever I am. A very economical 1.5-liter diesel engine, it requires only 8 liters in the city.
  • Oleg, Nizhny Novgorod region. Nissan Qashqai is a comfortable and practical car for every day, ideal for city and country trips. The car does not impress with its design, but has decent handling and smoothness. The suspension is adapted for Russian roads, and this is a huge plus. My Qashqai is equipped with a 1.5-liter diesel engine and front-wheel drive. This is the most economical version in the family of this model. Fuel consumption in the urban cycle is 7-8 liters per 100 km. On the highway, consumption does not exceed 7 liters.
  • Dmitry, Kaliningrad. The car was produced in 2007, equipped with a 1.5-liter diesel engine and front-wheel drive. This is the most affordable version of the Nissan Qashqai with this engine. I bought it purely for the sake of economy, I work in a taxi. The car in this configuration is simply created for such work. It is comfortable and dynamic, despite the average consumption of only 7-8 liters in the urban cycle.
  • Nikolay, Donetsk. Nissan Qashqai is, in my opinion, one of the best compact crossovers of its time. It combines practicality, efficiency, spaciousness and reliability. I have a version with a 1.5 liter diesel engine, it consumes an average of 8 liters per 100 km.

With 1.6 petrol engine

  • Svyatoslav, Kazan. I bought a Qashqai in the most basic configuration with a 1.6-liter engine and manual transmission. Front-wheel drive, fuel consumption is about 10 liters per 100 km. The car is both impressive and disappointing. The gray interior looks boring, but the controls are simple and you don’t need to get used to them, everything is at your fingertips. The salon itself is very spacious, the equipment is minimal. But the price at that time suited me for the basic configuration. In terms of dynamics, the Qashqai is capable of a lot, despite its modest 1.6-liter engine.
  • Nadya, St. Petersburg. I liked the car, by the way, this is my car in the garage. I bought a second one because I needed it for work in case one of them broke. We have enough force majeure situations, so we need to plan for everything. My Qashqai is in the simplest configuration, with mechanics and front-wheel drive. Fuel consumption 10 liters/100 km.
  • Artem, Vologda region. Not a bad car, bought it in 2008. I am still driving it, the mileage is currently 134 thousand km, the flight is normal. The interior is not worn out, everything is clean and in the urban cycle the car consumes 12 liters per 100 km. The engine is petrol, volume 1.6.
  • Nina, Murmansk. Nissan Qashqai has been in my possession since 2008. A comfortable and moderately dynamic car, with a 1.6-liter gasoline engine. The cabin is quiet and the controls are simple and easy to understand. Fuel consumption is on average 10 liters.
  • Boris, Ekaterinoslavl. A wonderful car with versatile capabilities. It is suitable for both the mature generation and youth. I’ve already taught my son how to drive, and now he’s going to take the traffic rules test. I praise the Qashqai for its clear handling; the car steers well and hardly rolls. The modest 1.6-liter engine has potential, but it consumes very little - in the city it comes out to about 10 liters per 100 km.

With engine 2.0 petrol MT 140 l. With.

  • Anatoly, Minsk. I have a 2009 Qashqai, with 150 thousand miles to date. The car is serviced by a company service center, equipped with front-wheel drive and a two-liter 140-horsepower engine. A dynamic and comfortable car, with fuel consumption on average 10-12 liters per 100 km. I liked the car, I praise it for its high-quality and well-thought-out interior, in which there is nothing superfluous. Spacious trunk and quite original design.
  • Mikhail, Tomsk. I have owned the Nissan Qashqai since 2008, and for almost ten years the car has shown itself to be a great car. Impressive in all respects, except that the suspension is a little stiff. But these are trifles, and otherwise the car is completely worth the money invested for it. With a 2.0 engine and manual transmission, the Qashqai consumes an average of 10 liters per 100 km.
  • Olga, Vorkuta. Great car for all my needs. I drive it to work, drop my kids off at school, shop at the supermarket, etc. Nissan can handle all these family values. Powerful engine, comfortable suspension, consumption of 10-12 liters in the urban cycle.
  • Julia, Krasnoyarsk. The Qashqai suited me just right. I have the top version with a two-liter engine, which needs 10 liters of gasoline in the city. Nissan is reliable, serviced, and does not bother you with breakdowns.
  • Igor, Novosibirsk. My car has seen a lot in 150 thousand km. The car was produced in 2010 and is still running. All parts were replaced under warranty. The gearbox and clutch assembly have been completely replaced. In general, I had to tinker, but overall the car is quite reliable. Major breakdowns did not happen in the middle of the road, but as expected - the problem was identified at the service center and immediately fixed. Gasoline consumption is 10-11 liters per 100 km.

With 2.0 petrol engine CVT

  • Sergey, Bryansk. The car impressed me; for 138 thousand km there was not a single serious breakdown. Thanks to its high reliability, the Qashqai can travel long distances, even to another country. For now, I want to travel all over Russia, and this is not an easy task. Well, I’ll become a tourist, so be it. The engine is petrol and consumes from 10 to 12 liters.
  • Lyudmila, Nizhny Novgorod region. The 140-horsepower unit suits the Nissan Qashqai just right. The variator works flawlessly, in general there is something to praise the car for. In the city, gasoline consumption is 12 liters.
  • Svetlana, Irkutsk. My Nissan Qashqai has traveled 160 thousand km, and will probably do so much more. I buy only original spare parts. Engine 2.0 140 l. With. and the CVT gearbox looks like new, everything works perfectly. Average consumption is 11 liters.
  • Alexey, Arkhangelsk. From the first day of the trip I realized that the car suited me. And the equipment is suitable - with a powerful two-liter engine and a CVT, just for the city. City traffic jams are not crowded at all, and the car is compact - about 4.3 meters in length. A two-liter gasoline engine consumes an average of 12-13 liters per 100 km, which is acceptable for a car of this level. The Qashqai impresses with its versatility and practicality, and at the same time it handles well, which is very important for the city.
  • Dmitry, Tyumen. I’m happy with the car, I’m planning to buy a second generation Qashqai soon, it’s a completely different car – I drove one from a friend. My Qashqai is a complete abyss compared to the new generation. I mean that the new model beats its predecessor in all respects. But if we consider the old car purely subjectively, without comparison, then the car is perceived as a reliable workhorse. There are minimal breakdowns, it just drives and that’s all, the main thing is to refuel on time. There is a CVT gearbox, the gasoline engine produces 140 horses. Consumption on average is 10-13 liters/100 km.
  • Margarita, Penza. The car was a pleasant surprise - it looks dull, but drives just great. Consumes an average of 13 liters of gasoline. My 140-horsepower engine works with an automatic transmission.
  • Igor, Ekaterinoslavl. They bought me a Qashqai second hand, it was a decent car. I ate no more than 12 liters, with an automatic transmission and a gasoline engine. I bought a new generation of Qashqai, and now I’m even more delighted with this car.
  • Nikolay, Magnitogorsk. A car for all occasions, comfortable and with a spacious interior. Practicality and quality of materials are much more important in it than handling. Although Nissan is also trained to drive quickly, there are not enough stars in the sky. With a CVT and a 2.0 petrol engine, it consumes an average of 12 liters.
  • Peter, Novosibirsk, I liked the car, it suited me as my first car. The traffic rules test was given with a manual transmission, but I preferred the version with an automatic transmission. I often drive around the city, and there was no need for a mechanic. The 140-horsepower engine and CVT are tuned perfectly - they work smoothly, without hesitation. Fuel consumption in the city is 11 liters/100 km.

Generation 2

With 1.2 MT engine

  • Boris, Chelyabinsk. I praise the Qashqai for its comfort and handling; according to these parameters, the car is the best in its segment. Competitors like the Volkswagen Tiguan are tough and primarily focused on the driver. And my Qashqai is a universal car that can please both. Eats 8 liters of gasoline, with a 1.2 engine and manual transmission.
  • Larisa, Odessa. A comfortable and roomy car, the practicality of the Qashqai is at the highest level. The 1.2-liter engine in this car is, to put it mildly, not enough, now I regret that I didn’t take the more powerful version. But for now I am happy with the fuel consumption of 7-8 liters of gasoline per hundred.
  • Tatyana, Nizhny Novgorod region. Qashqai is a wonderful car for me and my family. Comfortable and with decent ground clearance, with a 1.2 engine and manual transmission it consumes 8 liters/100 km.
  • Pavel, Nikolaev. A very beautiful car, just a sight for sore eyes. In my opinion, one of the most stylish among competitors. It looks so courageous and dynamic that no one will ever guess what is under the hood of my Qashqai. And there hides a modest 1.2-liter engine, working with a manual gearbox. Of course, the engine doesn’t have enough stars in the sky, but I don’t need a lot. But the efficiency is at the highest level. In the urban cycle it comes out to 7-8 liters, no more. And on the highway you can even keep within five liters. That's what downsizing does. And then you see the Qashqai will soon turn into a full-fledged electric car.
  • Igor, Sakhalin region. The car was produced in 2013, I was really looking forward to it. I had a first generation Qashqai, a standing car. Now it's time to move on, and the new crossover will help me with this. I praise the car for its sweeping silhouette; the car looks good in all proportions, and this is a very rare combination. The 1.2-liter version with a manual transmission was enough for me. I won’t boast about its dynamics, but in terms of comfort and practicality, the Qashqai is one of the best in its class. Consumes an average of 8 liters in the urban cycle.
  • Oleg, Nizhny Novgorod. A car for all occasions, comfortable and dynamic in the city. The 1.2-liter engine quickly spins up to 80 km/h, and then turns sour. However, for the city such speeds are more than enough. Gasoline consumption is on average 7-8 liters.
  • Katya, Penza. Nissan Qashsqai is a typical urban crossover. I have a front-wheel drive version, not intended for off-road use. The 1.2 engine works with mechanics, gears change quickly. The chassis is tuned perfectly, but the power is not enough. The car consumes 8 liters of gasoline.

With 1.2 CVT engine

  • Oleg, Novosibirsk. I have a 2015 Nissan Qashqai, made in Russia. The car is beautiful, no doubt about it. The 1.2 engine with a CVT is brooding and barely drives at all. The torque is so low that you have to engage earlier gears. In this situation, the fuel consumption is 8-9 liters per hundred.
  • Maria, Moscow. I bought a Nissan Qashqai at the end of 2016. An excellent New Year's gift, the family was pleased. I praise the car for its comfortable interior and decent dynamics of the 1.2-liter engine with a CVT. Fuel consumption 8 liters.
  • Vladimir, Ulyanovsk. I liked the car and have already driven 78 thousand km in two years. Fuel consumption with a 1.2-liter engine is 10-11 liters/100 kilometers. The car looks stylish outside and inside, and at the same time moves around the city quite quickly, despite the modest 1.2-liter engine. Consumption in the city is only 8 liters, the CVT gearbox works perfectly.
  • Nadezhda, Tatarstan. Universal car. It drives and brakes well, the cabin is usually quiet, and the sound insulation is decent. The 1.2 engine with a CVT gearbox consumes about 9 liters/100 km.
  • Maxim, Kyiv. I bought a Nissan Qashqai aftermarket, with a mileage of 180 thousand km. The car is in good condition, otherwise I wouldn't have bought it. Under the hood, a 1.2-liter engine, mated to a CVT, rumbles. In my opinion, in the era of downsizing, in a car with such an engine it is no longer a shame to drive up to some elite restaurant or golf club. Besides, no one knows what's under my hood. Everyone looks and gawks first of all at the design, which is the key trump card of my Qashqai. More than once I noticed how passers-by turn around and show a thumbs up. The car is reliable and consumes an average of 9 liters of gasoline.
  • Anatoly, Belgorod. My crossover is purely urban, and I’m not going to risk taking it off-road. He is so beautiful, this Nissan Qashqai. It would be a pity to damage the bumpers and body kits, which are not cheap. Fuel consumption with the 1.2 engine and CVT reaches a decent 9 liters per 100 km, but this is in the most dynamic
  • driving mode.
    Nadezhda, Kaliningrad. I'm happy with the car, it has now become indispensable for me. After my former Lada 4x4, I now forgot what off-roading is. Nissan Qashqai is a car for the city, nothing more. Equipped with a 1.2-liter engine that consumes an average of 10 liters/100 km.

With engine 1.6 130 l. With. diesel

  • Philip, Stavropol region. The car was bought in 2013, with a diesel engine and an automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is available and all options are available. In my opinion, the crossover looks more original and stylish on the outside than on the inside. The interior is relatively boring and simply designed. Apparently, Japanese stylists only had enough imagination for the design. The car looks sporty and drives just as well. For this, great respect goes to the high-torque engine, which consumes an average of 8-9 liters per 100 km.
  • Alexey, Donetsk. I was choosing between the Volkswagen Tiguan and the Nissan Qashqai. I regretted the money on the German and took the Japanese. Moreover, it has a high-torque and economical diesel engine under the hood, consuming 9 liters of fuel per hundred.
  • Anton, Lipetsk. I ordered the car together with my wife. The required copy was available, and in record time we became the owners of a Qashqai with a 1.6-liter diesel engine and all-wheel drive. The car goes fast and saves fuel at the same time. In the urban cycle, an average of 8 liters per 100 km is obtained. The interior has high-quality materials and modern equipment, and all this evokes only positive emotions. In addition, Qashqai is very reliable; repairs are only scheduled. The car reaches the first hundred in 10 seconds, and the maximum speed is 200 km/h. In my opinion, nothing more is needed. The crossover looks stylish on the outside, and there's plenty of room inside for five tall people.
  • Konstantin, Zhitomir. I liked the car, the Qashqai’s reliability is in perfect order. There is a diesel engine under the hood, but its maintenance is not cheap. But very low fuel consumption. It takes about 8-9 liters per 100 km, and you need to fill it with fuel from proven brands
  • Marina, Nizhny Novgorod region. The car is quite comfortable for its class, impresses with decent dynamics and excellent brakes. Against the backdrop of a sports body, the interior is decorated simply, but tastefully. Consumption of 8-10 liters of diesel fuel
  • Oleg, Novosibirsk. My Qashqai is equipped with a 1.6-liter diesel engine that produces a decent 130 horsepower. The engine rushes like a tank, I'm serious. Acceleration to hundreds in less than ten seconds, on the highway you can accelerate to 200 km/h and there will be no limit. Fuel consumption is no more than 10 liters at the fastest pace.

With 2.0 MT engine

  • Artem, Penza. The car was bought for taxi service. It is a purely urban crossover, nothing more. With all-wheel drive and manual transmission, with a two-liter engine producing 150 horsepower. The transmission and internal combustion engine work smoothly, without any significant delays. The car impressed with its groovy dynamics and efficiency. In the city, a maximum of 12 liters of gasoline is used.
  • Denis, Dnepropetrovsk. My Nissan Qashqai with a two-liter gasoline engine drives excellently on roads of any quality; it handles our Russian potholes with a bang. I'm happy with the car, it's a beast. It accelerates quickly and is also a very economical car. It consumes no more than 12 liters of gasoline in the urban cycle, with a manual gearbox. The 2-liter engine is durable, and in cold weather at minus 25 it starts with half a turn. The interior is quite comfortable and has all the functions. By the way, I have one of the top configurations. In general, Nissan Qashqai is a worthy representative of the Japanese automobile industry. Once again I was convinced of what a real Japanese car is.
  • Sergey, Peter. I bought a used Nissan Qashqai with 40 thousand km mileage. The car was produced in 2015, completely new. The owner sold it at a bargain price, I even felt there was a catch. It turns out that he was going to leave for another country on a business trip, and possibly forever - he has a family there. The car is equipped with a two-liter gasoline engine that produces 150 horses. A dynamic and playful engine, it consumes an average of 10 liters per hundred. The car has a manual transmission and all-wheel drive.
  • Yaroslav, Vladimir region. The car was produced in 2015 and has traveled more than 180 thousand km. A car for every day, comfortable and practically does not break down. As a last resort, I never repair it myself; if something happens, go straight to the dealer for service. The car is fire, consumes an average of 10-12 liters per 100 km.
  • Evgeniy, Nizhny Novgorod. The Qashqai is a worthwhile car, superior to my Lada 4x4 in everything. Well, perhaps the Russian car wins off-road. But in other disciplines the Lada 4x4 is a complete outsider. I’ve never owned a foreign car before, and now I decided to fork out the cash. Tired of sitting in the garage. Nissan Qashqai is a standard of the Japanese automobile industry, just like other cars from the land of the rising sun. The car reveals all its advantages in the city, where it is in its element. Off-road conditions will be hampered by low ground clearance and mediocre bumpers. The car is equipped with mechanics and a 150-horsepower engine. Average fuel consumption is 12 liters.
  • Pavel, Arkhangelsk. The Qashqai is not intended for heavy off-road use, and I learned this the hard way. Although the engine is torquey, and it has enough traction reserve to overcome more or less difficult sections. The whole raspberry is spoiled by low-set bumpers and low-lying interiors under the bottom. In short, you need to buy a steel shield. A 150-horsepower engine with manual transmission consumes 9-11 liters per 100 km.
  • Nikolay, Donetsk. I was pleased with the car; I came across a very reliable Japanese one, not like my former Daihatsu Terios. The interior of the Qashqai is cozy and spacious. I liked the quality materials in the interior. A car with a diesel engine consumes about 10 liters, if you don’t push it too hard.

With 2.0 CVT engine

  • Anna, Rostov. Nissan Qashqai is a powerful car that matches its sporty appearance. The car's behavior on the road is surprising - a crossover with the character of a typical passenger car. The 150-horsepower gasoline engine can work wonders, and the CVT works great. Fuel consumption is from 10 to 13 liters per 100 km.
  • Alexander, Moscow region. I liked the car, I bought it in 2016 as a New Year's Eve. Of course, to give myself a gift to my loved one, I had to choose the top-of-the-line package, otherwise I would never have forgiven myself. The car met all my expectations; in the city it consumes an average of 10-11 liters per hundred
  • Elena, Nizhny Novgorod region. My relatives gave me the car for my birthday; they were just about to sell the car. The model was produced in 2013, with a mileage of 180 thousand km. Still running, but the original components are already in poor condition. I wasn’t surprised - even a free gift has its drawbacks; there’s no such thing as free cheese, as they say. The car eats 12 liters and is equipped with a CVT 2-liter engine.
  • Olga, Murmansk. An excellent car for our harsh conditions. Despite the stiffness of the suspension, the car is very comfortable - the cabin is quiet, the finishing materials are of high quality. With a 2.0 engine and a CVT, it consumes an average of 11 liters/100 km.
  • Maxim, Donetsk. I have a crossover in the top-end configuration, with a CVT and a two-liter engine. The car immediately made a pleasant impression; the car looks decent in all respects. True, the suspension is very stiff, and this is not very good for our Russian outbacks. I’m actually from Donetsk, and now I live in the center of Rostov with my family. I bought Qashqai in 2013, even before all this. 150 horsepower is enough for the city, gasoline consumption is about 12 liters with a CVT. I have the all-wheel drive version.
  • Yuri, Sverdlovsk. The car amazes with its comfort and efficiency. Some will say that the Nissan is rigid and rolls heavily. Never mind, my car at least balances between these two parameters. The suspension is of medium stiffness, in the sense that you can not slow down in front of speed bumps, and overcome it at, say, 50 kph. In general, I liked Kashkaya. If everything goes well, I'll keep it for my next generation. The kids will grow up, and the Qashqai will be their first car. With a 150 horsepower engine and a CVT robot, it eats about 10 liters.
  • Nikita, Tambov. A stylish crossover, I feel sorry for going off-road with it, having fun, so to speak. But expensive spare parts make you wonder, is it worth it? For now, I decided to test the car in the city, and then we’ll see. Gasoline consumption is 10 liters. The CVT transmission works flawlessly, and in terms of reliability, the Qashqai can give a head start to many European competitors.
  • Nail, Ufa. A car for all occasions, I'm serious. The key features of the car are high comfort in the cabin, stylish and unique design, sporty handling, tight and assembled suspension. In general, a car for our roads. Eats an average of 10 liters/100 m with a CVT.

Real reviews from owners about fuel consumption on the Nissan Qashqai:

Car version with 1.6 horsepower engine, manual transmission

  • I am pleased with the economy of the car with a 1.6 liter engine. Wandered through the vast expanses of our vast Motherland. Somehow the next gas station was 550 km away. I prudently filled a canister with ten liters. The fuel consumption of the Nissan Qashqai was impressive, because the tank was almost enough. In the city, gasoline consumption is 10 liters, no matter how you look at it. On the highway it’s a little lower – 7.7 liters per hundred. I remember I also looked at the reviews before purchasing, and as it turned out, they were actually confirmed.
  • I noticed that fuel consumption is acceptable. On the highway it is no more than 7.5 liters of fuel per 100 km. In the city it is 11 liters or less, it all depends on traffic jams. Although reviews from other owners still shock me.

Nissan Qashqai with a volume of 1.6, a super economical car

  • I get to work with all the traffic jams and gasoline consumption of 11 liters per 100 km of straight road. I am very happy with the purchase.
  • Just a song! The fuel consumption of this hefty car turned out to be around 11 liters. Unspeakable...
  • The odometer showed 10.5 liters in winter. Slightly more than gasoline consumption in summer. What should the consumption rate generally be?
  • I rode the car for over a year. I declare responsibly - the savings are great. 8 liters per 100 km is the average fuel consumption, as evidenced by the on-board electronics. She certainly won't lie. And this is the norm for such a car.

Volume 2.0 liters, manual transmission

  • I only got pleasure from being behind the wheel in the version of the car with a 2.0 liter engine. Fuel consumption is low - up to 7 on the highway and up to 9 liters within the city. Constant traffic jams, you know.
  • For me personally, gas mileage played a very important role when choosing a car. In winter, I always warm up the car thoroughly, so the car’s appetite is 11.3 liters per 100 km traveled. In summer, this figure drops to 9.5 liters.
  • In AUTO mode, fuel consumption on the Nissan Qashqai 2 is simply pleasing to the eye. Personally, I like these numbers - up to 12 liters of gasoline per 100 km in the city. In addition, it runs on both ninety-five and second gasoline. This is my first car with a 2.0 liter engine, which eats so little, I am very pleased with my purchase.
  • Gasoline consumption in mixed mode does not exceed 8.5 liters per hundred kilometers traveled.

Car mileage: 198 thousand km, 2.0 liters, CVT

  • On a country road, the actual fuel consumption is very good - 8.1 - 8.4 liters per hundred. In the city it’s a little more – up to 11 liters. I note that gasoline consumption in mixed mode is strictly 9 liters per 100. I was pleasantly surprised by the efficiency of the 2.0 liter engine with a CVT.
  • The car is pleasing to both the eye and the wallet. The computer shows that the car's appetite is 9 liters when driving around the city. The highway consumes less - 8 liters. I always drive at least 120, so the gas mileage is completely justified.
  • Gasoline consumption in the winter months is up to 14 liters per 100 km when fully warmed up. In summer it drops to 9 liters. Of course, these are rounded figures, because everything greatly depends on the situation on the road.
  • I have never noticed fuel consumption for a Nissan Qashqai 2 exceeding 10.7 liters per hundred.
  • I think that at a constant speed of 130, fuel consumption of 10.8 liters is quite high, even for such a car.
  • The average speed according to the on-board computer is only 24.7, and gasoline consumption is 12.3 liters - this is too much “guzzle” for the car. I've never seen anything like this before.
  • Traveled 5000 km. Fuel consumption is high, at that time it was 15 liters per 100 km. Today the situation has changed somewhat, but 13.4 liters per hundred traveled is a bit much.

Nissan Qashqai version 2.0, with a diesel engine

  • I love extreme driving with all-wheel drive, so my actual fuel consumption is 10.4 liters. If you drive more moderately and use only rear-wheel drive, diesel fuel consumption drops significantly (8.4). My diesel only makes me happy!

The 2008 Nissan Qashqai 2.0 has some differences from the 2010 and 2016 cars, but does their fuel economy differ? How much fuel does Nissan Qashqai consume with an engine capacity of 1.6 and 2 liters? We'll figure out.

A gasoline engine, depending on the size, driving style and year of manufacture of the car, can consume completely different amounts of fuel. This indicator depends on the quality of gasoline and on which gearbox - automatic or manual - is installed on the car. Modern versions are equipped with a variator, which reduces fuel costs compared to an automatic transmission.

What characteristics does Qashqai have?

The Nissan Qashqai has relatively low fuel consumption per 100 km for a car with such power.

It is worth considering that the consumption rate indicated by the factory and the actual data differ slightly: this is due to the fact that at the factory, tests are carried out on a bench, under ideal conditions, and operation takes place in city and highway conditions, due to which factors are added that create errors.

Some drivers note that during operation the indicators can be almost twice as high.

The 2008 Nissan Qashqai was produced in several versions. They differed in engine size, one of them had all-wheel drive, the other had front-wheel drive.

The table will help you find out which Nissan Qashqai has real fuel consumption.

What does the indicator depend on?

The fuel consumption of a Nissan Qashqai may vary depending on the engine size, configuration, serviceability of the vehicle, and the driver’s driving style.

You can accurately calculate the actual fuel consumption per hundred kilometers for each car yourself. To do this, you will need to fill the tank full, reset the daily mileage and take the speedometer readings after the tank is completely empty. Only in this way can you absolutely accurately calculate the individual fuel consumption of a Nissan Qashqai.

If the car is moving along the highway, the performance will be relatively low. But if the road surface is poor, you often sit in traffic jams or move around the city, your fuel consumption rate increases. This rule applies to absolutely all makes and models of cars. It happens that gasoline consumption increases if the technical condition of the car leaves much to be desired. This indicator can be affected by contamination of nozzles, filters, and contact group. The quality of gasoline also affects: the worse it is, the more consumption will be on the Nissan Qashqai.

Ways to reduce fuel consumption

It is possible to reduce fuel consumption on the Nissan Qashqai. To do this, you need to carry out vehicle maintenance and reconsider your driving style. If the gearbox is manual, it is important to learn how to change gears on time, not to drive when the engine does not have enough power, to start and brake smoothly, and to maintain the average speed limit. If a variator is installed, it regulates the gear shift itself, however, the more aggressive and sharper the speed increase, especially uphill, the more fuel the engine will require.

The second rule, if fuel consumption has become high, is to check important components. You should check and replace the spark plugs, clean the injectors, check the fuel tank, replace the filters, change the engine oil, and do a wheel alignment. For the Qashqai, its fuel consumption increases if you take turns sharply at high speed.

The more uniform your driving style is, the lower your costs per hundred kilometers will be.

This is confirmed by numerous reviews from Kashkai owners, and many opinions on this topic can be found on the Internet.

Conclusion

For Qashqai 2, fuel consumption depends on many conditions. The variator in the car helps control the amount of fuel consumed. If the fuel consumption rate has increased, it is necessary to check the important mechanisms of the car, try to use high-quality fuels and lubricants, and also adjust your driving style.

Nissan Qashqai is a very popular Japanese compact crossover, which has been in great demand among domestic car enthusiasts since 2007. The car has an interesting appearance, excellent equipment, and good performance characteristics.

Naturally, many people still dream of purchasing such a car today. But, especially against the backdrop of rapidly rising fuel prices, it is very important to pay attention not only to the main characteristics, but also to such an indicator as the fuel consumption of the Nissan Qashqai.

Indeed, it is the efficiency of the power unit that will largely influence the car owner’s annual expenses. And the better it is, the less will be the load on the allocated budget.

There is such a thing as a norm. That is, the official fuel consumption. It is voiced by the manufacturer. For a Japanese crossover, finding the required information is quite easy. But real fuel consumption may differ significantly from the information provided by the manufacturer. Therefore, it is important to study all the information on this issue.

Official information on the efficiency of power units

So, this car began to be supplied to our country in 2007, when the 1st generation was released. Two engine options were proposed:

  • HR16DE. Volume – 1.6 liters. Fuel type - gasoline. Average efficiency indicators: 6.6 liters (Manual), 6.4 (CVT);
  • MR20DE. Engine capacity – 2.0. Fuel - gasoline. Efficiency indicators: 7.8 (manual transmission), 7.6 (automatic transmission). For 4WD, fuel consumption per 100 km is 8.2 (manual) and 8.0 (automatic).

The 2nd generation in Russia was represented by the following engines:

  • A two-liter gasoline power unit with slightly more power (144 horses versus 140). The declared consumption is 7.7/7.3/6.9 for manual transmission/all-wheel drive automatic transmission/regular automatic transmission;
  • 1.2 liter petrol engine with a power of 115 horsepower. Efficiency – 6.2/5.6 for manual/automatic transmission;
  • Diesel with a volume of one and a half liters. Power – 130 horses. The declared consumption per 100 km is 4.9 liters of diesel fuel.

The second generation began to be available in our country starting in 2013. One of the features of this Japanese car is that the official standard for automatic transmissions is lower than for its manual counterpart, although usually the opposite is true.

Reviews of real fuel consumption figures for Nissan Qashqai

Unfortunately, the stated standards often do not correspond to reality. What is the situation in this case? Published reviews from owners will tell you a lot about this:

1.6 liter engine

This option was the youngest in the line of power units for the first generation Japanese crossover:

  1. Anton, Moscow. I have the first generation, restyling for 2010. Traveled about 95,000 km. In winter he eats an average of 9 liters, in summer – a liter less. But I'm a racing enthusiast.
  2. Igor, Kostroma. I have a Qashqai from 2008. That is, it is still a pre-restyling version. In the combined cycle it comes out to approximately 6.9. Most of it is the highway, the city is about thirty percent.
  3. Fedor, Ivanovo. The car is from the first generation. The box is mechanical. The speedometer already shows 150,000. On the track, where I use it most often, it comes out to about 6.4, of course, if I’m not racing. In the city, consumption increases to 8.4.
  4. Oleg, Kaliningrad. I was looking for a car that was both comfortable and passable. I took a 2012 Nissan Qashqai with automatic transmission. I drove 60,000. In the city it’s about 9, which is a bit much, but outside of it it’s less than seven, which is good.
  5. Vladimir, Tyumen. I bought it from a friend who decided to change the car. He already had 45,000 on the speedometer, plus I drove another 15,000. He complained that the consumption was too high compared to the stated ones. I measured it, and it actually turns out to be about 9. It turned out that the problem was low quality oil and poor condition of the spark plugs. I changed everything, now I’m happy with the saved two liters per hundred square meters!
  6. Natalya, Moscow. Once I gave my husband a ride, he said that my car consumes too much fuel. I decided to take her to the service station. Moreover, it has already accumulated almost 160,000 miles since 2007. We checked everything there, changed the oil, and cleaned the inside of the engine. Now instead of 11-12 in the city it turns out to be 8-9, which is normal.
  7. Olga, Sochi. My parents gave it to me back in 2012. Automatic transmission. For my needs, the machine is just right. I can already boast that I have covered 100 thousand kilometers on it. I'm not complaining about excessive fuel consumption. I don’t race, I always monitor my condition - there is a good specialist whom I visit almost every month. The result is a stable 7-8 in the worst case scenarios.
  8. Peter, St. Petersburg. This motor is clearly not for those who like to overload their car. He's too weak for that. I noticed that when I drive myself (manual transmission, 2011 year of manufacture, 90,000 on the speedometer) and it’s empty, it turns out to be no more than 7-8. As soon as there are a couple of passengers in the cabin, and bags of cargo in the trunk, then everything is an overconsumption of three to four liters.

That is, judging by the comments, there is some overspending for this option. To reduce it as much as possible, it is recommended not to overload the car, stick to cruising mode, and monitor the serviceability of the most important components.

Engine 2.0

It is present both in the first generation and for the Nissan Qashqai 2. The more modern version is equipped with an improved engine that provides more power but consumes less. But this is according to the manufacturer’s statements. Now let’s find out what it actually looks like:

  1. Anton, Tver. I have an all-wheel drive Qashqai from 2008. The option is J10, that is, seven-seater. With CVT. There are about a dozen in the city. That is, I think it’s approximately normal, since the manufacturer claims average consumption, especially considering that this is an enlarged model.
  2. Igor, Moscow. At first I wanted to take 4WD, but then I changed my mind - why do I need all-wheel drive in the city? As a result, I took the 2010 automatic transmission. In the cabin. Now I’ve already driven 85,000. In the summer, everything is fine with efficiency, approximately at the level stated, but in the first winter I noticed that fuel consumption had increased to 12, which, of course, is bad. So, when it gets cold, I try to use public transport more.
  3. Oleg, Kursk. The car is manufactured in 2012. I have already driven 100,000. There are no special problems. Box – automatic transmission. On the highway it takes about 7.5 km per hundred km, but in urban conditions it’s 12-13, especially when you’re stuck in traffic jams.
  4. Vladimir, Orel. I have the second generation, from 2016. Variable speed drive. Mileage - 45,000. Initially it was not possible to reduce the consumption below 10.5. But then I switched to higher quality oil, started driving less, maintaining the regime, and using less in winter. As a result, I calculated for the year, it turned out to be 8.5 for every hundred kilometers on average.
  5. Konstantin, Kislovodsk. I was choosing between Qashqai and . I settled on the first one. I bought it from the showroom in 2015. With CVT. So far I have driven only 25,000. I often use a special Eco mode. This allows you to spend no more than 7.5 liters of gasoline per hundred, which makes me very happy.
  6. Rodion, Rostov. I immediately took the all-wheel drive option, since I often go fishing or hunting with friends. When the cabin is fully loaded (the car is from 2015) and the trunk in mixed mode, a little more than 10 liters flies away. In winter, however, this figure reaches 13-14, but here the quality of the roads is worse, the need to warm up, and so on.
  7. Alexander, Samara. I took it in 2016. With a machine gun. I’ve already driven 65,000. I noticed that if you drive at speeds up to 50 km/h, you can achieve 5-6 liters per hundred, but if you drive, then in the city even ten liters of gasoline is not enough.
  8. Ignat, Moscow. The choice was between the Nissan Qashqai J11 and Kia Sportage. I decided to take the Japanese one. With mechanics, since I can’t stomach automatic transmission, especially in the city. The car is from 2015. I drove 75,000. In the city the consumption is about ten, outside it - no more than 8.

That is, the situation is similar - the car prefers spaces free from cities, minimal load and good weather conditions.

1.2 liter engine

The engine with the smallest displacement of all available in our country. It is turbocharged and, according to the manufacturer, the most cost-effective. Now we’ll find out if this is so:

  1. Pavel, Novokuznetsk. The car is from 2014. With an automatic transmission. The speedometer has 55,000 kilometers on it. I use it very rarely in the city, but outside of it I fill no more than 6 liters of gasoline per hundred kilometers.
  2. Alexey, Murmansk. Recommended by a friend. I took a new one for 2018. True, this was the only motor available. The feelings are not clear yet. When the road is good, there are no traffic jams or stops, I spend 5.5-6.0 liters. But as soon as I go off-road, even not the most difficult, it turns out twice as much. That is, for difficult conditions this engine, even a turbocharged one, is clearly not enough.
  3. Andrey, Moscow. Fortunately, I do not live in the capital itself - I only go there to work. Therefore, on the highway I am completely satisfied with the efficiency - no more than six per hundred. But as soon as I enter a metropolis, with its traffic jams and constant stops, overconsumption begins and is quite serious - gluttony increases to 10-11 liters per 100 km. Crossover for 2015. With automatic transmission. I've already driven 70,000 km.
  4. Alexander, Kazan. In winter and summer, these are two completely different cars in terms of efficiency. In the warm season, on average, my output is 6-7 liters on the machine. In winter -9-10. Qashqai for 2017. I haven't driven much yet, only 30,000 km.
  5. Oleg, Krasnoyarsk. I have a Nissan Qashqai, 1.2MT, 2014. I covered 65 thousand kilometers. If you drive very slowly and evenly, then it’s easy to meet the norm, but if you try to be first everywhere, move in jerks, and even with a load, then 10 liters per hundred may not be enough.
  6. Sergey, Ulyanovsk. For the efficiency of this crossover (1.2 AT, produced in 2016), indicators such as speed and load are very important. One day I decided to check it out in one direction and went loaded. I had to hurry, so I accelerated to 120 km/h. Result – 6.5 on the highway. I drove back empty and stuck to the standard 90 km/h. I spent exactly one liter less. In the city, you can’t count on less than eight liters of gasoline.
  7. Peter, Kaliningrad. My Qashqai has a six-speed automatic. At the salon where I bought it in 2017, they immediately said it was better to ride on the highway. Fortunately, this is exactly my case, since I often travel to the Moscow region on business, I wind up quite a lot, I’ve already driven 150,000. And, indeed, in the city it takes off 8-9, outside of it 6.5 on average.
  8. Anatoly, Volgograd. My dear uncle took it to his village in 2014 with a manual transmission. He drove the Japanese car for 35,000 and gave it to me, he says that too much fuel is being consumed. I immediately sent the car to the service station, it turned out that the engine was very dirty, and the rest of the components too - I had to clean it, change the throttle valve, oil and gasoline to better ones. As a result, from its 12 liters per hundred square meters, I switched to 6-7 that was acceptable to me.

That is, a low-volume turbocharged engine is a good option for those who prefer not to move too fast on good roads. And not off-road or on busy city roads. Preferably, with a minimum load and in good condition of all the most important components of this vehicle.

Nissan Qashqai, with a diesel power plant, although it is offered to buyers in our country, is, at the moment, extremely rare, so for now there are practically no reviews about its real efficiency. And, given the rise in price of diesel fuel, it is unlikely that people are planning to switch to this version of this popular Japanese crossover in the near future.
